Elmton and Creswell Men who fought in the Second World War
by Pamela Finch and Enid Hibbert

This book is dedicated to the memory of the men and women from Creswell and Elmton in Derbyshire, who left their homes almost 80 years ago to fight in a world war. Very few are alive today, but perhaps a name may remind you of someone you knew and of how young they were when they responded to the country’s need. As the men of WWI are not forgotten, so will those of WWII not be forgotten.

The book serves as an archive of a small selection of artefacts uncovered by the group in the Elmton and Creswell area as well as the stories behind them. It will discuss the histories and journeys of the objects as well as the personal meaning of the artefact to the person who found them.

By reissuing this book in electronic form I hope to keep the new view of sleep alive long enough to be properly addressed by sleep scientists and to allow everyone to enjoy the thrill of a counter-intuitive scientific theory that my yet be true!.
